Course Description: This is the second part of a one-year survey course aimed to introduce first-year medicinal chemistry graduate students to various aspects of drug design and development. Topics of this course include functional and structural studies of macromolecular targets, how the information obtained from these studies aids in drug design and development, and other methods used in pharmaceutical research. Students who are interested in a particular subject may elect a more advanced course in consultation with their advisor. Three hours of lecture per week.
